Kanguru unveils the most advanced, global remote management application for secure USB storage devices with the release of Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC) Enterprise Version 6.0. KRMC provides administrators of enterprise-level organizations with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of critical security and usage issues such as password management, active security policy enforcement, remote lock and deletion to prevent costly data breaches, and much more. KRMC 6.0 supports all Kanguru Defender encrypted USB drives, including the FIPS 140-2 Certified Defender 2000 and Defender Elite200.

Operated within the secure confines of the customer’s infrastructure, KRMC 6.0 combines the convenience of conducting business on secure USB drives around the world, with the benefit of being able to manage those devices wherever they may be used. KRMC 6.0 also helps minimize support costs by allowing the KRMC administrative team to resolve helpdesk requests from USB users internationally through an easy- to-use web interface.

Some of the recent enhancements of Kanguru Remote Management Console 6.0 include:

• New FIPS 140-2 Validated Encryption
• Active Directory Integration to Allow Rapid Deployment of Configured Devices
• Deliver files to remote Defender USB drives securely over the internet
• User Experience Enhancements: Including More Granular Search, Audit and Reporting Functionality
• Intelligent Installer to Prevent Database Conflicts
• Built on the Backbone of Kanguru’s Common Criteria-Evaluated KRMC Version 5 (in process)

Already widely-used and trusted as the remote management solution relied upon by enterprise organizations and government installations across the globe, KRMC 6.0 is a significant upgrade, bringing remote management to the next level, with newly incorporated FIPS 140-2 Certification and a host of powerful new features for use in healthcare, government, military, corporate and other industries that manage sensitive information and critical data security infrastructure.

With the new Active Directory Integration, administrators benefit from a more consolidated process of asset management as well as simplified editing of USB drive information/contact info from an available Active Directory. Administrators can also import devices into KRMC from the Active Directory and export devices from KRMC to the Active Directory to streamline provisioning and management requirements.

The new File Push Feature is a great way for administrators to securely distribute files remotely to encrypted USB drives. Add PDFs, documents, etc. to any KRMC-managed USB drive anywhere through KRMC 6.0.

“Kanguru has substantially enhanced the navigation options available to the administrators as well,” says Kanguru Executive Vice President, Nate Cote, “Improved features include more granular search functionality, enhanced auditing and reporting, and general user experience. Our goal has been to provide administrators with real time visibility and effective control over their globally deployed secure USB devices.”

KRMC is also available in a cloud version, hosted on Kanguru’s secure, enterprise-level hosting platform. Some features of KRMC Enterprise may not be available in KRMC Cloud version. To learn more about KRMC 6.0 or KRMC Cloud, visit Kanguru at www.kanguru.com.
